Apologies for the Hiatus!

Hi All! So sorry it has been quite some time since I have been able to post! The end of the school year happened to be significantly more chaotic than anticipated. With 5 cumulative finals, moving out of my dorm, and our season finishing Eastern Sprints regatta in Camden, NJ; I was prepared for a crazy week... but tack on the flu and a myriad of other little things- and well needless to say it has been out of control. But I'm back now and looking forward to summer postings!

Here are a few things that have caught my eye lately!

Beautiful way to create a new vase! A matte finish painted jar!

The inside of a Snapple cap is a sure way to a smile :)

Harold Parker State Forest is a beautiful place to spend a day outdoors!
I especially love canoeing there in the summertime.

Soft Serve ice-cream is a summertime dessert
my boyfriend and I like to grab after a day of golf!

I think this is such a gorgeous shot! It reminds me of an
empty beach on a perfectly sunny day.

What a cute way to decorate with those little
seashells picked up after a day on the ocean!

Watermelon is probably one of my favorite snacks during the summer!
It's so refreshing!

Mother's Day is Right Around the Corner!

Here's and fun and unique gift idea to show your Mom just how much you care!
Start with the classic L.L.Bean Monogram Tote Bag, not only is this  a durable bag which will last your mom a lifetime, but it's the perfect way to bring together the rest of this creative gift! Since we all know April showers bring May Flowers, Mother's Day at the beginning of May is the perfect way to equip your mom with all the gardening essentials!
One of the first items you could potentially add to this Mother's Day gardening kit is a nice pair of comfortable gardening gloves. This iconic floral pattern Laura Ashley Home-Gardening pair is perfect to add to your bag!

While we all know our mom's secretly love playing in the dirt, this Garden Tool Set includes a cultivator, bypass cutter, and spade- exactly the tools she'll be looking to pull from her bag during an afternoon spent working in the flower beds!
One of the most fun decisions you can make when thinking about what to include in your bag, is what type of bulb you will give her to eventually plant! Keeping in mind the season is spring- you'll want a bulb that is seasonally fit. Bulbs to Blooms is a great site not only for purchasing bulbs but it includes wonderful information on seasonal planting.
To top off your gift with just one last bit of sentiment- head to your local florists and pick up a fresh cut bouquet of the fully bloomed flowers you chose to include as bulbs for her to plant! This not only gives her something beautiful to set out somewhere in the house but shows her just what her bulbs will look like once they've come full circle! I've chosen to show Gladiolus here, a gorgeous spring bloom available in a variety of colors.

This gift idea is very flexible and can be as complex or simple as you choose, with many different options on what you could potentially include this is a perfect gift that can easily be personalized to best fit your mom's taste. The thoughtfulness behind this idea will definitely show your mom just how you care, and its's unique nature will show your out of the box thinking to come up with something special for your mom on this Mother's Day! & As always, don't forget that a card with thoughtfully written sentiment inside goes a long way :)

Hooray Hooray It's the First of May

Im loving this eye palette from (1) Stila, it's called "In the Moment and it includes 10 gorgeous different shades of eye shadow with a small booklet of instructions on how to achieve a certain look!

I have bounced back and forth on Pinterest and this shot of (2) "The Sun Never Says" -Hafez, is one which I have read over and over again. I love the meaning behind this poem and reading it never fails to make me smile.

Since I spend over 20 hours working out a week, it is imperative to stay hydrated. Rather than continuing to purchase water bottles I have given in and gone with the classic Boston College (3) Nalgene. Not only is this more environmentally friendly, but it holds significantly more water than a typical plastic water bottle.

Somecards are all over the place these days. Sometimes scrolling through these witty cards on their website is a quick way to take a mental break from studying. I think this (4) particular one is incredibly cute :)

Theres nothing like a hot shower at the end of a day full of running from practice to class back to practice.  This (5) Neutrogena Grapefruit Scrub Face Wash has become one of my favorites over the years. It is sensitive on the skin but the beads in the soap help with exfoliating the skin!

We all have our guilty pleasure iPhone app that steals away our attention every now and then. This new app called (6) Logos Quiz Game has got my attention lately! In this game, the screen shows you a variety of different logos missing their company name- your job is to decipher what company name belongs to the logo!

To say that I love perfume would be an understatement, I have acquired quite the collection over the years. Lately my absolute favorite scent is (7) Marc Jacobs Daisy. It's light enough to wear during the day without coming off too strong, but is fresh and sophisticated to wear out to a formal event!

With my Junior year in college coming to an end this week, finals rapidly approaching next week, two races left in the spring season, and moving out of my dorm room- nothing keeps me on track like my (8) Daily Planner. I especially love the layout of this edition and don't know what I would do without it during these chaotic times!

Banquet Season is here in full swing, with many end of the year athletic banquets coming up there is always a need for an affordable and appropriate new dress. I recently stumbled across this small boutique the (9) Red Dress Boutique, I am in love with so many of the dresses displayed and can't wait for another occasion to purchase one!

Lastly, the utterly classic (10) Hunter Boots, it might be May now and while the flowers are surely on their way- we have definitely had our fair share of rainy days in the past few weeks. My pair of violet Hunters are just what I need sloshing through the puddles on my way to class!

What kinds of things are you loving these days?
