Valentines Day Inspired Manicure!

I have a confession, I have a bit of an obsession with Essie Nail Polish...

Today after my last class of the day I had some free time (I know, shocker right?) and so I decided to spice things up with the nails and do a little multi-color Valentines Inspired fun!

While I don't have the longest nails (thanks to the 20 hours a week of rowing I subject myself too) I still like to have polish on them whenever I have the time!

1) I use the Essie Protein Base Coat to start. 

2) Followed by two coats of Essie's "Bachelorette Bash" on all but my ring finger.

3) I used Essie's "Off the Shoulder" on my ring finger. 

4) Followed by an added top coat Luxe Effect, Essie's "A Cut Above" on my ring fingers.

5) Finished off with my favorite top coat which again is by Essie, "Good to Go" (how kitchy right?)

I love to do my nails, and a most of the time for me its that 20 minutes of not thinking about anything while adding some pizazz to your fingers :)

2) I don't know about you but I love a good bubble bath! This bath bomb makes for the perfect bubbly bliss. 

3) One of the best parts about LUSH is the table cascading with different sizes and shapes of free cut soaps. This scent, "Sexy Peel," happens to be my favorite! LUSH sells precut pieces wrapped, and priced by the pound- and their employees are also able to cut off any piece you would like!

4) I am a collector of different lip balm and lip gloss products- this lip balm is subtle enough to leave a light hint of red, while moisturizing like your favorite chap-stick!

5) Last, but most certainly not least is the peppermint scented "Mask of Magnaminty." I have tried many masks out there, and this one is at the top of my list. It's clay-like texture, and fresh minty sensation once washed off, is so refreshing!

Just a few fun, bubbly, pink things that caught my eye on Pinterest this morning! 

I love this arrangement of gorgeous pink florals! We're in the middle of a harsh week of winter temperatures- this picture makes me so excited for Spring!

This quote was pinned from a page of Martha Stewarts Wedding Magazine, I especially like the latter half of the quote 'happy girls are the prettiest girls,' everyone shines a little brighter when they're happy :)

I am always looking for different inspiration for desk organization and design, this example is such a clean and clutter free style- I love all the white, and especially the geometric design on the walls!

Amidst the hectic schedules of our day to day lives, I think sometimes we can get caught up in the chaos, and appreciate days such as MLK day more for the break from school, work, etc. and less for the history behind the national holiday.

 It's always good to take a second and bring yourself back down to reality and truly appreciate where we are today, and why. 

Today is also a pivotal moment in history as we witness the 2013 Presidential Inauguration where Barack Obama will stand before thousands in Washington D.C as he takes the Oath of Office for his elected second term serving as our countries leader.

Hello, from Vero Beach Florida!

It was a rather quick winter break at home with our families, and then off to the beautiful Vero Beach, FL to kick off the New Year with a bang on our 2013 Winter Training trip.

10 days filled with two-a-day practices along the Intercoastal Waterway.

We're on day 4 here at Vero Beach, and with the exception of a few windy spurts- the weather has been beautiful!

We are fortunate enough to stay at the luxurious Vero Beach Hotel and Spa, so when practices are through for the day we can truly relax- and even take advantage of the gorgeous weather by the pool mid-day in between practice for a little R and R.

My team has been working so hard this week, and can't wait to take the training and improvements we've been making here in Florida, to the upcoming spring season of competition for our fastest year ever.
