This years' Masters Champion is 33 year old, self taught, Bubba Watson!

In the history of the Masters Championship Golf Tournament, Watson is the fifth left handed golfer to don the world renowned "Green Jacket" in the past 10 years.

Watson is known for the tremendous length of his drive, averaging 290 yards per drive, and in fact after this weekends events, recording the longest drive of the Masters Championship at 324 yards.

Watson played with poise through the weekend and made his way into the sudden death playoffs against Louis Oosthuizen from South Africa. Watson finished first taking home a W with par on hole 10 after completing what ended up as a two hole playoff series, ahead of Oosthuizen. Watson had a final-round 68 for a 10-under-par 278 total.

Since Watson's first entrance into the world of golf as a professional, it has been nothing short of a challenge in both his professional and private life.

In 2010 Watson lost his father Gerry Watson to an aggressive throat cancer. It had been Bubba's personal goal to win the Masters before the cancer could potentially take his father once and for all, as Watson finished Sunday with a phenomenal gap wedge shot that soared toward the fairway and managed to hook about 40 yards landing precisely on the green, he finally shared that success with his father.

In Butler Cabin Sunday afternoon as the defending champ Charl Schwartzel helped Watson into the green jacket, Watson said,

"I've never had a dream go this far, so I can't really say it's a dream come true," Watson said. "I don't even know what happened on the back nine. ... Nervous on every shot, every putt. Went into a playoff. I got in these trees and hit a crazy shot that I saw in my head, and somehow I'm here talking to you with a green jacket on."

It was an incredible weekend of golf and the competitors were relentless throughout the entire championship- a heartfelt congratulations goes out to Bubba Watson as he revels in his new found success!
